After a very profitable year, the Japan desk in a top Multi-National Swiss Private Bank is looking for one or two more client advisers to join the team. This mandate is a hybrid of hunting and client retention, which is an extraordinary opportunity considering how niche the Japanese market is from Singapore. This banker must have an existing portfolio and excellent communication & personable skills. A team or two / three relationship managers from the same firm is very desirable.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Gage interest in the Private Bank’s top products and service capabilities. Use this and your understanding of your Japanese client’s investment requirements to sell insightful solutions in the aim to increase the average client ‘ticket size’.
  • Be proactive in ensuring client retention and high levels of client satisfaction. You should be passionate about your mandate and strive for high level of performance, measured through set KPIs.
  • Work cooperatively in your team to collaborate your colleagues and to maintain the Japan desk’s outstanding success.
  • Generate revenue upwards of USD 1.25 MM after your second year of employment.
  • Role reports into Japan desk head.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • A relevant client advisory qualification and at least three years’ experience as a non-associate relationship manager in a Private Bank.
  • Been with your current employer for at least three years, or you manage a self-acquired portfolio of over USD 200 MM.
  • Fluent in English and Native / Mother tongue in Japanese
  • Located in Singapore or you hold a Singaporean passport / residency

Responsibilities

  • Providing access to global equity markets / secondary bonds & dealing in an efficient and compliant process.
  • Analyze market conditions & market depth for each order and suggest best execution strategy.
  • Monitor,maintain client orders (including GTD) and make sure trade executions are accurate, promptly reported.
  • Manage the OMS-Predator dealing system.
  • Manage relationships with Direct Access Clients, Relationship Managers, Marketing Assistants, DPM, Investment Counsellors & Counterparties.
  • Deputised Head of Execution Desk with meeting Team Objectives and tasks assigned periodically by Management
  • Products: Listed equity, listed options, OTC Bond, Flow Structured Products

Obligations and Compliance

  • Follow the general guidelines of the Bank and Management policies
  • Follow the specific guidelines, policies and regulations related
  • Follow the respective trading rules on each stock market and all IPO / New Issue procedure.
  • Ensure deals & trade transactions are done accurately and fairly handled and in accordance to regulations & Management policies.
  • Inform and Escalate issues to Management regarding irregularities in trading patterns and incidents.
  • Maintain proper audit trails

Requirements

  • Cash Equity execution: Asia, Europe & US markets (experience, an added advantage).
  • US Stock Listed Options execution
  • Structured Equity Product dealing (knowledge, an added advantage).
  • Cash Bonds execution experience
  • Handling New Bond book building & allocation (an added advantage)
  • Minimum 3 years of execution experience.
  • Hours: European / US trading session (Europe mid-shift can be considered).
  • Team Player, part of Cross Asset Execution Team.
  • Understand the Regulations & comply with external & internal regulations & policy.
  • Able to handle fast-trading activities and multi asset trading.
  • Handle execution reporting promptly and ensure trade executions are accurate & promptly reported.
  • Strong skills on price discovery & communications with counterparties to provide best price execution for Bonds & Equity.
  • Strong communication skills to handle RM & Clients trading / pricing request.
  • License / Certification required: CACS 1, CACS 2, FMPR, CFMAS Module 1 & 5.

As a Night Dealer, you will be part of the Central Dealing Unit (CDU) team that is directly responsible for the overall growth in the area of Securities, Structured Products and Forex.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate the proper execution of all trades (equities, structured products,fx and bonds) for clients across all wealth management segments where possible, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for adherence to and compliance with internal policies and operational procedures.
  • Proactively develop, foster and maintain positive relationship with a wide network of traders, brokers and other industry contacts to ensure a constant flow of up-to-the-minute relevant information and to enhance firms image in the community.
  • Provide market information in close cooperation with the Bank’s investment research and product team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any disciplines or Diploma in Economics &/or Finance
  • Work well under pressure
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team as well as independently
  • Experience in trading tools and platforms ie Margin Man & Bloomberg
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Dealing or Brokerage role.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • The Wealth-Manager have Banking relationships with the top firms in Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong and their ‘open architecture’ platform will enable you to build many more. Use your knowledge of your clients demands and needs to open relevant doors and create new opportunities for your clients, yourself and your employer.
  • If you are working with one of the EAM’s partners, you can simply sign a POA agreement and manage your clients in the new platform whilst receiving un-capped compensation. To be successful, you must sell the benefits of an EAM to your clients and use your ‘high-trust’ relationships to encourage your clients into transferring ownership.
  • Aim to generate high levels of revenue through effective portfolio management and your product allocation. You will be directly rewarded with a very attractive revenue share (up to 50%) on top of your Private Banking Salary.
  • Constantly think of new ways to grow your network and improve acquisition methods.
  • Role reports into the Managing Director.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience in a sales position within a private banking or wealth management environment with a wide knowledge and experience of selling multi asset services / products.
  • Track record of business development and a strong ROA is highly desirable
  • a self-built portfolio with total assets above USD 150 MM and a ROA figure of above 80bps (revenue figures can be reconsidered on portfolios over USD 400 MM)
  • Located in Singapore or willing to relocate

Basic Qualification
