Steamhaus has been officially recognised as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Consulting partner!

We’re now an AWS Certified Partner

I’m delighted to announce that Steamhaus has been officially recognised as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Consulting partner!

To quote AWS on their partnership program: “APN Consulting Partners are professional services firms that help customers of all sizes design, architect, build, migrate, and manage their workloads and applications on AWS”.

We’re particularly proud to have met the stringent requirements Amazon place on their partnership program within 6 weeks of launch. We see this as a key testament to our commitment to the AWS platform and to public cloud enablement in general.

So what does this new partnership mean to Steamhaus customers?

First and foremost, it solidifies our position as an AWS consultancy by enabling us to work alongside Amazon on customer solutions. We also have a direct line of communication to the people behind the AWS platform itself, something not available to your standard end user.

We’re also able to feed suggestions and feature requests directly to AWS for consideration into their future roadmap. Not only this, but we also gain access to new features before they hit general availability. This allows us to become familiar with new services and technology quicker and before our competitors, as well as being able to deploy it to customer’s cloud infrastructure with a greater level of confidence.

Most importantly however, the partnership agreement requires all Cloud Architects and Consultants to be independently tested and certified by Amazon themselves. This ensures that every Steamhaus Cloud Architect understands the AWS platform inside-and-out. They are also required to re-sit the exam every 2 years to ensure they stay up-to-date with the latest AWS best practices.

Finally, keep an eye out for the joint Amazon and Steamhaus events we’ve got planned for the coming year!
